OUR CONFESSION OF FAITH
1. WE BELIEVE in the verbal, plenary inspiration and authority of the Scriptures. We believe the Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of salvation and God's plan and purpose in the ages. [We use the King James Version in all of our preaching and teaching]
2. WE BELIEVE in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
3. WE BELIEVE in the deity, virgin birth, blood atonement, vicarious death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
4. WE BELIEVE that salvation is by grace, plus nothing and minus nothing. The evidence of salvation is repentance toward God and faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
5. WE BELIEVE that men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Justification establishes an eternal relationship that can never be broken.
6. WE BELIEVE in the visible, personal and premillennial return of Jesus Christ. We look for that "blessed hope", the imminent and pretribulational return of Jesus Christ to catch His bride [the church] away.
7. WE BELIEVE in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
OUR COVENANT OF FELLOWSHIP
Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord, and on the confession of our faith, having been baptized by immersion in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we do now in the presence of God and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.
We purposefully engage therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to give it sacred priority over all other institutions of human origin; to attend its services, to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the gospel ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor and the spread of the gospel of Christ through all nations; and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Saviour.
We also purposefully engage to maintain family and private devotions; to train our children according to God's Holy Word; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world, to be just in all our dealings, faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all tattling, backbiting, gossip and unrighteous anger; to abstain from any vice or habit that would be detrimental to the testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ and His church; to abstain from gambling, illicit narcotics and the use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage; we stand together against abortion, homosexuality, transvestism, obfuscation of gender distinctions, obscenity, pornography and all other forms of immorality.
We further purpose to encourage one another in the blessed hope of our Lord's return; to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation and mindful of the rules of our Lord to secure it without delay.
We moreover engage that, when we remove from this place we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church of like faith and practice, or establish such a church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God's Word.
